"Headlice in pregnancy!"

Hi.
I have worked in a pre-school for 6 years and have never caught headlice until now! Does anyone know is this because i'm pregnant or just a coincidence?

I was advised because im pregnant to just comb through with a nit comb and conditioner but my hair is very thick and long so this takes ages and doesnt seem to get rid of them, even though i've done it every other day for past 2 weeks!

Have recently spent £60 on lotions to get rid of them and finally did so, but now i have them back again

PLEASE HELP!!!!

"Head lice in pregnancy"

The medications don't semm to be working any more.
We had been treating my granddaughter exactly the same way as you have been doing. Then we tried an anti-dandruff conditioner on her dry hair, left it for 30 mins then shampooed it out. I could not believe what came out even though we had used the comb the day before. We think the conditioner loosened the lice like dandruff. We are now still using it. Washing, combing and while the hair is still wet putting it up in a pony tail, plaiting and hair spraying.
Being pregnant is not the cause, a child in the nursery is responsible. Keeping your hair up and lacquered should help protect you.
Good Luck with the pregnancy.
