Yes I think the previous poster is right....I think it is 24 weeks at present but there has been talks of bringing it down to 21 weeks as a few babies have survived abortion.

im 16 and found out i was pregnant about a month ago but i was already about 2 months gone! my doctor told me i would recieve a letter about getting abortion and i still havent! do you know how far gone you have to be before its not possible to have an abortion anymore? x

Hi, I'm pretty sure it's up to 24 weeks, but the earlier it's done the easier it is, both physically & emotionally.
If you're sure that's what you want to do, then i would ring the surgery as soon as possible and ask to speak to a doctor, explain you havent heard anything, so that they can get things moving for you.

i am sixteen too and im 1 week and 2 days gone i thought about having a abortion but i dont like them. and its 8 weeks. you can still have one but hurry

I think that you can get an abortion up to 24 weeks although it is a lot more dangerous then and probably a lot more heart breaking, as its developed pretty far by then. Have you thought about maybe keeping the baby? Do your parents know? Does the father know? If they do what do they think?
