"Have had my period as normal, but have pregnancy symptoms?"

Hi all,

Could anyone please help me out on this one. I came off my period last Saturday 14th, which was pretty much the same as usual apart from i had odd spotting before i came on. I was sick on the saturday 3 time, but since then i have had no end of symptoms such as:

nausea, lower back ache, headaches, metal taste in mouth, butterfly / pulling sensation in my tummy, odd cramps, light headedness....my usual morning coffee makes me feel sick.

Could this be possible even tho i had my period as usual? would it be too early to do a test?

Thanks sooooo much!

Clare x

hi there,
not every one has the same symptoms, or a pregnancy the same.
i have heard of alot of people being pregnant, but still having regular periods. have you been pregnant before?, what were your symptoms then?

if you feel you may be pregnant, i'd do a test to see. as you are having periods, you will be unsure on how far on you are. if it is positive, then first thing to do is see a doctor. if you aren't then try and think of anything in your life that has changed:
your diet
stress
sleeping probs
work commitments

there are many things that can alter our usual cycles, and routines.

you certainly seem to have pregnancy symptoms, so take a test asap.

take care. let me know how you get on

best wishes, chelle

I haven't been pregnant before, i am taking the pill, so am just wondering if it could be a tummy bug or something...eek!

I will do a test tomorrow morning and let you know.

Thanks for your advice.

Hi, i did a test last nite, and the result was negative. I have subsequently stopped taking the pill, as i am still getting symptoms.

I think i may have done the test too soon. I am going to see how i feel and do another one in a few days time.

I had constant tummy and back ache lastnite, i had a glass of wine with my meal and it definitely didn't agree with me.

I will keep you posted.
