I am 5 weeks pregnant and last night on my way home someone ran into the back of my car. i was pretty shocked but the first thing i thought of was not what damage has bee done to my car it was is my baby ok.

I tries to get an appointment with my doctor but can't get one till monday

does anyone have any experience of this sort of thing or know if i ned to worry i know i will spend the whole weekend worrying and just wanted to put my mind at rest.

Sorry if it sounds alittle silly to be worried

Lisa x

Hey Lisa, When I too was 5.5 weeks pregnant with my daughter, I was hit head on, my daughter is now 27 months!!! Like the other post said the baby is very small if you feel ok, you should be fine. Just o be safe tho, go to the dr.

"Don't panic"

I have had 2 friends that were both in car accidents in their very early stages of pregnancy, you can go to A & E and then will check you over and if you have any bleeding or pain they will give you a scan, but honesty you will be ok.

Also just in case you are interest, my friend owns a no fee no pay injury claims company and because it is not your thought you can claim damages for your injuries (if any and any time you need to take of work or phsyiso.

I know that is the last tghing on your mind but one you no you are ok and your baby is ok it is something to think about.

Let me know if you would like there contact details.

Fingers crossed for you and baby.

If you feel ok and have no pain then thats a good indication that the babe is fine and well.
Your little one is quite small and very protected inside you.
To put your mind at rest ask to speak to a doctor on the phone today.

I totally understand your concern though

hope you get on ok xx
"You are not being silly"

hi there,
this is not a silly question at all.

i wold suggest that if you are not hurt, then you will be ok. you have had a big fright though, and will need to try and calm down. stress is not good for you or your baby. if you are worried, call your maternity hospital, and ask to speak to a midwife. they will be more able to help you i think, than your doctor. i am sure that if you aren't having any bleeding, spotting, or stomach pains, then they will just reassure you. on the other hand, you could ask if you could have an emergency scan just to help ease your mind.

i am not sure if you can get this or not, but i would certainly be contacting them.

good luck, try to relax
