"Me too!!!!!!" Posted by hollowj 13 January at 14:59
Hi
My Husband and I have been trying for a baby for 8 years. We are very fortunate to have a 9-year-old son, who is the world to us. Our son was conceived naturally after 2 1/2 years of trying. I have been with the fertility doctor, who has been brilliant. We have both been told we are fit and healthy and after a laparoscopy,I have been given the all clear for my tubs. I was then put on Clomide, which took my egg count up to a very high number (so I had to be taken off them) I am currently using Pregnyl via injections. This has all been free on the NHS and as yet has cost us no money. It would be worth approaching these channels if possible. Good Luck and don't give up.

"Can't get preganant either!" Posted by noodle26 8 November at 14:07
Hi I have been trying for 3 years now.Had all the fertility tests and have been told I'm perfectly fine and should be able to conceive. However it still has not happened I also have irregular periods. Someone has told me to buy some magnesium ok tablets and also something called Quest so I am going to try that. To top it off everyone I know is either pregnant or had babies. Its really frustrating and hard to be positive sometimes. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you if you do for me!

"Carnt get pregnant neither" Posted by charlielovesken 14 March at 14:18
not all women who are young are fertile sadly. i have been taking metformin for 6 years and managed to get pregnant once but sadly lost the baby as i was in a bad state of deppresion.i am trying for a baby now but have recently found out i have a bacterial infection called bv of which is caused by pcos of which i also have. have they tested you for that. please go online and type in pcos if you do not or have not been tested for that it could be the answer you need at this very moment in time as this can be helped but not reversed and please do not believe anyone who says it can. there you go you have one answer and i hope it will help you in the near future with having children keep me updated please and i will also keep you updated please do not hesitate to email me on here or on pointy_02@hotmail.co.uk thankyou and goodluck in the future i hope that one day you will have the child you are longing for.

"Uurrrggghhh!!!!" Posted by bleedingrose 26 February at 21:09
so my fiances brother and his philipino (so spelled wrong but oh well) wife just moved in with us and she came in and saw me open this discussion board the other day and asked about it and we got talking and stuff and she told me that she was pregnant!!! she isnt sure how far along exactly but no more than two months. omg i was so hurt, i still am. i mean this was totally unplanned and probably unwanted. my fiances brother is 23 and probably the most immature 23 yr old you will ever meet, he play with action figures, plays video games all day, and cant budget money to save his life. on top of that he just ASKED for them to cut his hours at work when his is now having to start paying rent and they have a baby on the way. he blows his money on anime and video games but my fiance is on his ass about paying rent and stuff. my babe hasnt said anything but im sure he is probably hurt because now hes gunna be the last one out of his brothers and sister that has a baby. i was laying in bed last night and going through boxes i had found some baby clothes that i had bought when i thought i was prego and jumped the gun and got myself excited and they are hanging up in the closet and i just layed there and looked at them and i started crying. i mean these two have been together a year and already married and already having problems he wasnt ready to get married i mean the dude didnt have his first gf til he was like 21 whats he gunna do with a wife and a baby!? me and my fiance have been trying to have a baby for a year and a half, bring a baby into a loving happy environment where we can give it what he or she needs and start our family together but no i dont get that!! why not why is it so easily handed to so many others that dont even want it but not use that try for years on end!? sorry this is a little long im just frustrated and sad and upset.:'( maybe its just those hormone pills my dr gave me...something else they cant figure out whats wrong with me

Hi, im in the same situation at the moment, been off the depo for 9 months and still nothing, but in the meantime my friend has just had a lovely baby girl, my sister is due in Octber and my sister in law is due in January, but im still struggiling.
Im getting the akward questions off people "so when are you gonna have kids" i feel like punching them in the face sometimes, but they dont know the trouble i am having, i dont like to talk about it too much with peoplecoz i only upset myself.
When i found out my friend was pregnant i was unberable, i cried for about 24 hours non stop my BF was cracking up he didnt know what to do, as upset as i was i was also happy for the person but it was just hard to show it behind closed doors.
If nothing has happened by January for me im off the doctors to get some tests done.
I hope everything works out for you!!!!!!!!

"We all go through the same thoughts" Posted by charlielovesken 14 March at 14:29
every day i thin the same why are people who dont want children getting pregnant well heres the simple answer nobody knows.have they tested you for pcos thats what i have and infact am trying for a baby but find it very hard aswell i also dont get much of a break from my period i have now been on for 3 and a half months and also just found out i have a infection wich is caused by polyscystic ovaries so now have to put up with pain off that. maybe you should tell them they have to fend for themselves and must find there own place to live as you finding it hard to have a child is going to be hard having her and her child around all the time. and as you certainly know more about pregnancy maybe you should sit her down and explain what this all means she needs to know its not easy. good luck sorry if this didnt help but i hope it did.

"I understand!!!" Posted by justtryingtosoldieron 24 February at 22:49
i dont know all your symptoms so dont take this as gospel but it sounds like you might have pcos (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) its quite common. it sounds scarey but really its not too bad. take it from me, last year before i got married i went on the pill and started putting on weight, we thot this was just a side effect until i came off it and i was still gaining the weight but at an alarming rate. i was tired all the time id swell up like a balloon and my periods had stopped completely among other things. i use to get abdominal pain now and again aswell that would have me doubled up in agony. i went to my gp about it and they ran soooo many tests, they thot i had diabetes because my blood sugar was so high(turned out to be one of the main symptoms)me and my husband are dying for children and it just wasnt happening. finally tho i was diagnosed with pcos and i had a scan which showed a very large amount of cysts on my ovarys. it stops me becoming pregnant right now but im about to start fertility treatment so hopefully things will work out. its been about a yr and a 1/2 of torture and self loathing (in all i have gained 9stone which i have to stress isnt the norm for this illness but i have a very bad case) but atleast i know now whats wrong with me and theres a way out. if you can relate to any of this then just get it checked out it its worth ruling out. look online aswell there are lots of websites on this that will give you a list of the symptoms.... i hope this helps a little and i pray you dont have much longer to wait.

"So i had a dr appointment..." Posted by bleedingrose 22 February at 18:09
i went to the OB-GYN on tuesday. im not prego but i was asking her if there was any tests they could run there that my insurance would cover because the fertility clinic i have to pay for in full and right now i just cant afford that kind of money. but anyways she ran some blood work checkin my thyroid and some other hormone i cant remember what it was right now but she said if those were abnormal that thats what could be causing me to not have periods and it would just be a matter of putting me on medication to normalize them. well those came back normal so im back to square one. she also gave me a Rx for progesterone. she says she wants me to take it for 10 days and then stop and see if i get a period with in 2 weeks. she said it will measure if i have estrogen in my system. but shes pretty sure that im not even ovulating and that there isnt anything else she can do and i have to go through the fertility clinic. this sucks! its so frustrating! oh well nothing i can do at this point so....

"Same for me" Posted by spunky84 22 February at 00:35
me and my partner have been trying to get pregnant for nearly 3 years now and still no luck
Ive been told its down to many factors the main ones bieng im over weight (yet loosing wieght didnt work)and i have a tilted womb after the birth of my first
I have tried natural fertility boosters and they dont work there are some tips that can help and did help when i got pregnant with my first however
1) try to have sex over the 5 days before you ovulate this increases the chance of fertility
2) while it isnt necassary to stick you legs in the air it wise to stay horizontal for 5 minutes after sex afterall gravity is quite a formidable adversary for sperm
3) have great sex in different places change your positions change the rooms where you make love keep it fresh otherwise your not gonna want to keep trying and orgasms cause a suction drawing the sperm higher up into the womb
and remember most couples usually get pregnant whilst happily preoccupied with other things try not to stress out about it i wish you luck and hope you get there soon

"And me too!" Posted by fuzzyfelt 22 February at 17:39
Hi Spunky, know exactly where you are at. We have also been trying for just over 3 years, had all the tests and apparently there is nothing medically wrong.
Tried for the all out shagging every day method as soon as auntie flo has finished to build up a reserve, the every other day, the try not to think and plan it too much and still nothing.
Don't get me wrong we are a happy little family with one darling son but I never planned to only have the one and he would make a great brother.
Good luck to you all. x

"I am unfertile" Posted by violetsapphire 18 February at 19:25
I made 4 in vitro fertilizations and the verdict fell : I am 36 years old and I am unfertile ! That was really very difficult to know. I fell into depresses nervous. The only solution is to have a gift of egg. But I start to have of the hope. I certainly will go to IVF CHANIA, it is a private clinic in Greece.

"Getting pregnant..." Posted by marabsky 16 February at 20:52
I was diagnosed with PCOS, wasn't ovulating got that going again with Clomid - but also had a larascopy, they removed a benign cyst in my uterus which he said woudl have interfered with successful implantation. 3 months after hte surgery I was pregnant.
Interestingly enough, my best friend alos had to have a benign cyst removed, and immediately fell pregnant.
