A friend recently told me that there is a link between soya milk and infertility. Im quite worried now. Ive been drinking it for many years now as Ive had a lactose intolerance since birth and it is the only milk I can drink.
Has anyone else ever heard of this and if so should I stop drinking it?

I discovered a couple of years ago that I had a form of PCOS. I had been on the pill for ages - prescribed to help control my periods when younger - and when my husband and I decided that we were ready to start a family I came off it and my periods would not start and my weight increased dramatically. I began seeing a specialist and they put my on metformin and I was told by a dietician that Soya Milk would help me to reduce my insulin level, therefore help me lose weight and increase my chances of getting pregnant etc.etc.. I started drinking it straight away. I am now concerned by reading this as we are having a 'heartbreaking time' trying to get pregnant with all manner of failed treatments so far and little success with the weight loss. Does anyone know if this link is proven because I am now not sure if I should stop drinking it?

Hi there. Am in the same boat, was fed soya milk as a baby, then found out the effects it has. Check out http://www.doctorsaredangerous.com it's really worth a look at the studies and info there about it. We are trying to concieve as well, and I know that I have fertility problems, but my husband works away from home for weeks at a time and that isn't helping either. Cheers
