Private clinic???

First time I went to my GP (regarding our 4 years non succesfull trying for a baby)was I think November 06. I am sick of waiting for appointments and test results. My next appointment to gyne is in june 07 and I feel that will not be the end. Another examination or test, and then 4 months waiting to see gyne about results.
I am thinkink if there is any chance to have all necessary examinations and tests done privately (quicker). Does anybody knows if it is possible, where and how much it costs? I am going to try to get some info. on net but I was just wondering if you have any experience yourelves.
I am originaly coming from Slovakia and there it is quite normal to go to private clinic and prices are not that bad. I just can not afford flying here and there and would prefare to have done what necessary here in UK.

I was lucky enough to have private health insurance through work and was able to see a gynaecologist (the same one!) regularly. All I had to do was phone up and ask for an appointment. I had my operations and all my tests done privately. I now have my first ivf appointment on the NHS on Tuesday. I would recommend having private treatment if you can afford it as I think it is really worth it and you can get results quicker.
