Progesterone to kick start periods?

Just wondered if anyone and had something similar and what they're advice/treatment from their GP was...

I came off the pill in Sep 06 and have one period in Nov 06 and nothing since - that's 4 months! I was wondering if I should see my GP, as it's probably just my hormones getting back to normal after the pill, but how long should I wait? Am I right in thinking they can prescribe you progresterone to kick start your period?

Have done HPT and all negative, so am definatley not pregnant (unfortunatley).

Yup...

they do prescibe progestrerone to start your periods. you typically take it for 10 days and then once you stop you should have a period within two weeks. although this does not cause ovulation it just causes the lining in your uterus to build so there is no chance of pregnancy. they just did this with me to see if i had estrogen in my system and have done it with me several years back...

Pcos test??

hiya, i am awaiting my period which is 10 weeks late but my gyne wants 2 do hormone tests 4 pcos if i had progestrerone to bring my periods on wud it effect the tests?? kerry lou x x x x

i dont see why it would but to be honest i dont know and i couldnt honestly answer your question...what kind of test are they planning on doing to test for pcos?

they want 2 test all the hormones and look 4 testosterone etc etc etc!!!! x x
