Hiya

St. Georges House in Raynes Park is my main clinic but they have another clinic in Harley Street.

I just had failed IVF there but nothing to do with them - they did everything possible, they are very good & professional.
If you have to go private (am 38 and can't do on NHS!)it's worth a try!
I will have one more in two months time and hopefully it will be positive then. If not, am going abroad!

Good luck x

I had ivf on the nhs at barts in london.

Hi there

I just thought I'd let you know I had IVF on the NHS at Barts in London whenI was 39! I had 1 go free and it worked the first time. I have a fantastic little boy and we are now going for our first FET cycle as we had 14 first class frosties put into storage.

I can't recommend Barts hoghly enough, they were absolutely fantastic every step of the way. Even though we live in East Sussex now we we would still recommend going to Barts for treatment.

Some more questions about your experience at barts please!

Dear Lollie69:
I was wondering if you wouldn't mind helping me with some more information about your experience with St Barts. I had two ectopic pregnancies last year and am left with no tubes, so IVF is the only option and NHS is footing the bill for one go at IVF at Barts.

I will be referred to them end of March once our final test results are in (my husband's sperm test) and I am curious what waiting times are like post referal.

They stated on their website that once they get a referal letter that they send you (the patient) a welcome letter. Is this your experience? How long of a wait are we talking? And, how long was the wait from referal to first appointment?

Furthermore, I read some postings that although all the tests needed to be completed via NHS prior to referal (like my situation), the clinic insisted on doing all the tests all over again under their watchful eye. Was this your experience? As it is, my series of tests started end Jan so I'm really pushing this "3 month" window for recent tests to be applicable and accepted by the clinic. Gosh, if they make us do them all over again, I just see this dragging out really long!

Thanks so much Lollie69! I really appreciate your help, as getting the "real" story from someone who has been through all this before is so valuable for both sanity's sake and getting a better grasp of what to really expect.

Looking forward to your reply. Congrats on your little one - when I read your posting, it so mirrored what i want to achieve (including the freezing of the little "guys/gals" for future baby making) that it really made me feel good to know other women are experiencing exactly what I am going through.

Sincerely,
Jami (happythoughts1)
