Hi all

I am a sad newbee, just been told I can not have IVF it would be a waste of money.

I have few eggs and they are not good,

They did say about donation but not in England as its getting harder here because of the new law.

Now if I go to spain where the law has not changed and its kept a secret my problem is colour, my partner and I are english so very white.
If we have a spaish baby it will surely be brown with brown eyes?

The child will know he or she is diffrent and will start to ask questions I am sure.

Also my big question is am I to old 46 going on 47 never had any children partner 38 no children.

I went off the pill 6 years a go now I have started the menpopause, missing periods.

Any advice please

ps is it also dangerous for us older women?

Hi there,
I'm new here also. To question of are you too old, well we are never too old to want to have a child or family and we will do what it takes to have one. So if you really want it then go for it.
The menopause makes no diference as I am POF and went through the menopause at around 20 and I have got one fantastic little boy through donor egg IVF.
To the question about going abroad to have a child, well it all depends how you feel about it all. If you just want a child you won't care what colour it is as it will be yours, don't forget you will be carrying him/her and will be all yours. Also, I take it you will be using partners sperm so will be even more towards your own colouring I would have thought! And who care's what others think! I have never kept it a secret even from my young son so it's never gonna be an issue.
Don't think I'm speaking out of turn when I say all that and I hope it helps in some way.
kind regards
Dee
