| Thread started by: | "I dont ovulate, is this because of my abortion?" Posted by debs1986 20 January at 20:14
Hello,
Ive been trying to get pregnant for over 2 years. Ive had loads of tests and ive just been told that i dont ovulate. I am being refered to hospital now, but i havent been told whats going to happen next. Does anybody know? I am desperate to have a babe. Even though i know i cant get pregnant i always convince myself that i am, i do a pregnancy test every month, i cant keep going through all of this. its horrible. I have read about Clomid on the internet, and i just wondered if anybody has had any experience with it?? And also has anybody brought it off of the internet??
My doctor was asking alot of questions about my termination when i was 17. Why was this? Is my abortion the reason i cant get pregnant now??
I feel like i need answers, i hate all this waiting around.
Shall i take clomid? I need to be pregnant, its taking over my hole life..
Please help xxx

Hi there, I was told after several years of trying and various test that I did not ovulate either. It's called premature ovarian failier which is basically early menopause. I'm not saying that that is what is wrong with you...but is a possiblity or you may have scar tissue from your termination, only test will tell. But what ever it is, don't panic! I have a lovely 8yr old son, so it's not the end of the world what ever the outcome lovely, just more difficult! But you are early days yet, wait and get some test done before you panic as may be all for nothing, so stay calm and start pushing for more test or an alternative way to have that baby. Good luck and let us know how you go. Dee

I have been struggling to conceive for over three years and know exactly how you feel and what you are going through. If there is one thing I have learnt - it is to 'relax'. I say that loosely because it is easier said than done. Getting into a panic over what is happening does not help your body. You also need to take clomid upon referral from a doctor. Taking a drug like clomid without the supervision of an endocrynologist or gynae is very, very dangerous and could make your situation worse. You need to find out why you are not ovulating before trying ovulation drugs. If you have any questions you can PM me anytime.
Good luck
