I have been ttc for 12 months now...I have PCOS and stopped ovulating although I still have periods... my GP referred me to a hospital Gyno two weeks ago. He told me that my BMI was too high for the NHS to help me. He gave me Metformin and told me to loose two stone before they would do anything else. I've started a low GI diet recommended by my doctor but while browsing the internet I noticed you can buy Clomid online. Well I ordered some, 100mg pills. I know how dangerous it is and obviously I won't be monitored cause I'm going to take them off my own back but I keep having a reality check and asking myself what I'm doing!!?? I'm so frustrated and confused. What serious damage can I do? At worse they won't work right? Have I really lost the plot now?

I just thought I's stick my oar in lol

the best girls to ask are on the "trying for a baby forum", this one doesn't seem to get much response. They are so supportive & full of advice as there are a lot of women with different experiences incuding PCOS & clomid.

Please think very carefully about taking the unprescribed clomid as taking the wrong dosage can do more harm than good & may not help your chances but infact hinder them if it causes complications cos it wasn't prescribed.

I know that the docs can be annoying cos they don't seem to understand the yearning we have for our own baby, but stick with them & force your issue to them.

I will pm you incase you don't read this.

Good luck xx
