Late period after hysterosalpingography??? could i be pregnant

New member hello everyone

I have the obove fertility x-ray done to check out my tubes and uterus, was told on the day by the ladies doing it that all looked ok, no blocked tubes etc. I have been using the persona kit to log my ovulation days which was days 15 and 16 this cycle. I am now on day 36 an wondering could I be pregnant or does this type of examination delay your period? My periods are erratic from 29 days up to 35 and above that very occasionally.

Would appreciate response if anyone else has got pregnant in the same month of having this x-ray done.

Thanks

Hi there

Hi There

I had the same x-ray done on the 30th of May like yourself my periods were very erratic. I recently recieved my results and were ok. I did have a period after the x-ray but I have just discovered am 10 weeks pregnant. I had been trying for a baby with my partner for about 5/6 years and this why I went to the hospital for this x-ray. I have a feeling that it's possible that this x-ray may have helped. I believe that when they do this x-ray they put iodine through your tubes and I think that it's possible if there was anything not meant to be there that this may have cleared it. I cannot be certain but considering how long it's taken for me to fall pregnant, then to suddenly fall after this x-ray I can't help but think this. They only way for you to be certain is to take a test. I hope this helps answer you question as this is my experience with this x-ray, obviously other people are different. I wish you all the best.

What about x-rays?

Hi,
I had this examination on Monday and was advised not to get pregnant during this cycle. We've been trying for 1 3/4 years to have a second child. Really torn at the moment because I will probably have my ovulation tomorrow and would like to use it. Aren't you worried that the x-rays might have damaged some cells in the folicle prior to ovulation and fertilisation?
