Who says youre too old at 48 for ivf on the nhs......
.Ive never had children and neither has my partner. We both left it too late to find the right person, but now weve finally found each other we both want what weve always longed for....a baby in a loving relationship.I was devastated last year when I found out that the month I met the man I loved was the month I gave up my chance to have my own baby naturally(MENOPAUSE had set in)I was so happy to have met a great guy and believe me Id spent many years alone after an unhappy marriage and never thought Id meet someone who would want me AND want a baby. But you cant have it all.I found my guy but lost my chance. We decided to try IVF but in the UK and other parts of Europe the costs were 8000 pounds plus and of course I was too old for IVF on the NHS.Makes me laugh really cos Ive looked after myself and most people think I am still young enough to have my own baby.We eventually contacted some Indian doctors in Hyderabad (Kiran Fertility Centre) and they are amazing.I had a hysteroscopy there to ensure everything was okay after the second cycle failed and theres no reason I cant conceive.Ive read stories where women have had 11 cycles and fell pregnant on the 12th attempt. While we were at the clinic there were on average 3 pregnancies a week and one of these was an Indian lady who I spoke who had her implantation the same day as me and it was her first attempt. We also saw a 2week old baby boy who had been conceived on the 4th attempt. We are not giving up and we are going back asap cos we trust the doctors and the low price of each cycle means our baby is within our reach.....we hope and pray.unfortunately nobody really wants to talk about costs but if youre over a certain age you do have to find a great deal of money in the UK to have a baby.Sorry in this day and age when people are living longer and it may take longer to find that special person, who says youre too old to have IVF on the NHS at 48,
