Egg donor desperately needed

Hi there everyone, can anyone please help? my hubby and I have been desperately trying to conceive for 15 years. Unfortunately I had to have both my fallopian tubes removed and now my eggs are no longer viable. We have been considering going to the Eugin clinic in Barcelona as there is no waiting list for donor eggs but I'm concerned after reading posts on the fertility friends site. I would prefer to have treatment in the UK but as I am 47 the waiting lists are just too long.
Is there anyone out there who is willing to be my angel?

Just thought Id let you know that I am 45 and in same situation so understand fully what you will be going through. I will be using ivi clinics as they are reported to be very good. Spanish clinics are regarded as some of the best in the world. My sister had a aby aged 47 and she is now 4 and absoutley gorgeous. Dont give up. Good luck!!!! If I could help you I would.

Hiya if you know the person that you want to donate the eggs too then it doesnt matter if you are over 35 in some hospitals. I am looking to egg share as I need IVF myself but as I am 37 I can,t donate if I dont know the recipitant. If you want to ask your hospital if they would consider using my eggs as part of a egg share id be glad to help you or if you want to travel to npton then that would also work. let me know. Just thought I would let you know that I am currently going through ivf as a recipient for a clinic in England at the moment, I am 45. Probably for the same price you are willing to pay in Barcelona which is where we were initially thinking of going we are paying the same price here. The clinic is the London Women's clinic and they have a clinic in Swansea, Cardiff and London. They operate an egg sharing programme, you pay a larger amount to subsidise someone who wants IVF in return for donated eggs.

I just felt that so many women are travellig abroad when infact you can go to a clinic over here and don't have the stress of constantly flying. My concerns for going to Barcelona when I contacted them was that you apparantly only needed to go over for 2 visits, once for the consultation and then the final time for implantation. This now seems very bizarre when I infact have to visit the clinic over hear a few times for scans etc. Their age limit is 52, and their waiting list is 6-9 months, we only had to wait 5 months, I only wish I had been told about them a long time ago.

I hope this helps all you women out there who are so desperate for an egg donor you are prepared to travel and pay highly abroad when infact you don't need to.

Hi Vixen, Thanks for all your info. I'll definitely look into the London Women's Clinic. I checked out the Harley Street fertility clinic but their age limit is 44 and the Lister was horrendously expensive ( of course would come up with the money if it looked promising).
