Unsuccessful vasectomy reversals

Hello,

My husband has had two vasectomy reversals since 2004, and both unfortunately have been unsucessful. Well i say unsucessful, on the second operation we were told by the surgeon that he could only repair one side as the other was what they call a 'blow back' this means it is all knotted etc and could never be repaired. However, he did say that he had succesfully re-joined the other tube ok. Later on that year (4 months) we travelled down to the clinic (Hartlepool Vasectomy Reversals) for a semen test to be done to check for live/dead sperm and was told by the Dr there was non seen. It is exactly 1 year ago since the last operation and we now believe it hasn't worked.

This is absolutely soul destroying for both me and my poor husband, whom feels a failure. I hate that he feels this way because obviously we know he can't wave a magical wond and make it work. He is a strong minded person and has always been 99.9% confident it would work, and has always reassured me it would too, he is also fairly fit and doesn't suffer with any major health problems. Maybe there is still time but i think by now we would have had at least some sign.

Has anyone experienced the same as this? Also, i would really appreciate any views/thoughts and other recommendations as to what step we can possibly take next. As i feel time is passing us by and i can't help but feel as though we are never going to be able to have a child together...

Please help...
