Embarassed but need advice!!!

A while ago I had HPV (genital warts) and although it has been treated I know that there's always a chance it could come back. I've visited lots of sites and none of them say if it affects your fertility or not because Im terrified I won't be able to have babies when the time comes!
Does anyone know of anyone that has had children after HPV? or know anything that would help? Thank you! :/

i know someone who had HPV and she now has a boy and girl aged 16 and 18 if that's any help!?

You'll prob be ok

It's an external thing, right? I wouldn't have thought it would affect your fetility, I had PID which can leave you sterile , but I had an operation to check and apparently I've got nos carring.

One thing the whole experience has taught me, is that you can't be too careful with your health (especially reproductve health) and if you're worried, it's best to ask the pros.
What about NHS direct?

You'll be ok

my best mate had genital warts....she now has 2 beautiful children. She didnt know she had them until she was pregnant with her first, apparently they come out due to hormone levels or something. But she still had them when she had her 2nd baby and everything was fine she had a normal birth etc...she is now being refered to a gynecologist to go in and have them removed.so dont worry it cant makeyou infertile and they can be treated.

Thanks

I'll try that, also (i just posted a thread in health and wellbeing) do you know when you have to start having smears?

Smears

hi

i'm sure you'll be fine. if there would be a problem they would say that on websites. you should start having smear tests as soon as you become sexually active. go to your GP to be refered. take care x

This is what i found

I haven't found anything else than you probably have already read on internet. i don't think there is a risk of unfertility but to not worry for nothing, ask your GP. All the best !

I hope not!

Thanks charlotte!
