Keep postive
i have the same prblem with my doctors me and my partner have been trying nearly two years i once went 9 months without havin a period went to my doctor he told me go home and eat some soup how horrible is that? every month i am between 6 and 7 weeks late and pray that i will see two blue lines instead of one. i hope you get the news you deserve and that the stork will soon be visiting you all the best and good luck!!!!

Could something be wrong?
Hi. I have just read your post online and wanted to email you as Im going through a similar thing. Me and my hubs have been trying for a baby for 8 months now. Not long you might say, but since I came off the pill in April I have only had 3 periods! My doc told me that it could take a few months to get regular again but they havent done so yet. I have just had some blood tests last week and my doc has sent me a letter asking me to make an appointment so im going next week to see whats what.

i had period 4 week ago. was due on sunday but surprise surprise i not had period. however last tuesday i had very small bleed that only lasted the morning. was dark brown at first then very light red. nothing since but have been having period cramps. part of me wants this to be implantation bleed but i doubt it will be. we been trying 4 nearly a year now. have been off pill for 2 year now, and been trying for 1 year. i had all sorts of blood tests done at docs but turns out am in good reproductive health. one thing i would say is not to get too hung up on getting pregnant as this can delay your periods longer. i even started to produce breast milk cos i was constantly checking my breasts for changes. i joined the gym to takes my mind off things, and i have to say it really has helped. am now focussing on toneing up rather than getting pregnant. anyway good luck. let me know how you get on at doctors x

sorry to hear about that, i been off the oral pill since june 06, me and my partner had been havin unprotected sex, but i was still havin periods. we had been tryin for a baby, i thought i was ryin to hard. so i stop tryin to hard my last period was oct 4th 06 i ain t had a period now just over 6 weeks, done two pregnancy test but they say negative. so looks like were in same boat love X sarah

Had period now
also had bloods done for hormone levels which were normal so think i was late cos of stress. am just gonna destress now and not focus too much on getting pregnant. hey hope you get the news you want. why dont you go gp for preg blood test?x let me know how you get on x

Get checked for pcos?
When I was 36 and had been married a couple of years, my husband and I decided to try for a baby - I came off the pill (Triphasil, which I had used off and on since I was 18), I had no periods. I waited almost a year before going to the dr (just kept hoping it would sort itself out) and he finally diagnosed me with PCOS - which I would have had my whole life! It also probably explained the long cycles (around 45 days) that I had during the years I was off the pill. Hard to say why this time the periods just didn't happen.
So even though I was PCOS my whole life, no one noticed (or checked - I suppose there was no reason to) until this point. I don't know if it would have changed much to that point, but it did mean I needed some homonal help from the dr. to get my cycles and ovulation going again.
Maybe just something to ask about. They can confirm with blood tests and an internal scan. Keep in mind I didn't have most of the symptoms like excessive weight gain etc. but interestingly enough PCOS seems more common in the 'mediterranean types' of which I am one e.g. on average more body hair, oilier skin etc. which are in many ways PCOS-y type symptoms.

My partner and i are also trying for a baby. I came of cerezette after 3-4 months but had been on the pill for 4 years before that. I had one period then none for 3 months i had test etc done then Last month i had what i think was a true period1 i am now 2 weeks late but am 2 scared to do a test as i know it will prob be negative!!

Know the feeling
i did another test yesterday was neg.what i cant understand is that sice last christmas i was having period every 4-6 week. i am 8 week late which is unusual for me.
my friend told me that a girl she knows always showed neg on urine test but was pregnant, doctor found out by doing ultra sound scan. i just worry cos am nurse and job is quite heavy.
in a way i wish i would have a period then i could re work out my ovulation, cos at the moment i aint got a clue where i am in cycle. #
wierd thing is my mate is pregnant and am having similar symptoms to her. but doubt i am.
#anyway good luck 2 u. keep me posted, is nice to hear from some1 in same situation x

Still no period!

it is very strange how it works i am now nearly 3 weeks late n i cant drink alcohol now as it makes me sick n i feel sick n dizzy but i was like this b4 n was not preg!!! so gona leave it couple more weeks till i do a test!!

Test on thursday
am gonna test on thursday again. if i not had period in next 4 week am gonna go doctors again. they had to give my mate an ultrasound scan to see if she was pregant cos all her urine tests were neg, and she was!
my brests are now quite sore underneath. and my nipples are nearly always errect.
its difficult not to think about it aint it x

i am findin it very hard not 2 think bout it as we want it so much i have been goin dizzy all day n avin pains in the womb region but its all gettin very bloody annoyin now!

aw u must be really down and frustrated. am gonna do test tom morning.
but i have been getting period cramps today so think i may come on.
i suggest that u do the same as me and test once every week. or u could go doctors and ask for blood test. one of my mates recently found out she was pregnant. am happy for her, but is like a slap in the face really, cos she wasnt really trying.
try to think positive. how old are u? am 23 x

im 21, i av been avin pains for 3 weeks but nothin as yet! yeh loads of my m8s r pregnant or just had babies which makes it worse n i always feel as tho they r rubbin it in but deep doen i know they aint they r jus well excited like u & i will b one day soon!

im not sure bout that one cant say ive heard of it. u still not come on yet then? i will b 4 weeks late thursday so i will b goin docs next week if i dont come on. i am jus feelin really low as we aint gettin ne where i try not to think bout it 2 much but it is hard not 2 really!

9 week
no not come on 9 week late now.
past couple of days i felt sick and dizzy. hope doctor sends me for scan if i get to 12 week. i just know something is going on, i cant be imagioning these symptoms. my niples are quite sore today 2. are u getting any symptoms? also got constant mild headach.
i know what u mean. am trying not to think bout it but is always on my mind. dont think it would bother me as much if i was having regular periods but this is doing my head in. hey good luck, keep in touch x
