Should we pay egg donors like they do in america?

Hi,

I am a journalist writing a report for a glossy womens magazine on the issue of egg donation. Should we let the free market determine the amount of compensation? Would you be willing to pay a donor if it meant more eggs were available? Or should we stick to the status quo? Have you been to the USA and paid a donor?
