"Foreign forms" Posted by hannah200 18 March at 02:54
Here a few forms of Margaret :
- Marguerite (french) - Maggie / Maggy (french pet form... a bit old-fashioned in France) - Margot (french pet form) (you can as well write it Margaux, although it does not come from Margaret if written like that) - Peggy (english pet form I think) - Gretel (eastern Europe) - Rita (from the italian forme Margherita) - Daisy (english translation of "marguerite" which is the name of the flower in french) - Pearl (Margaret means "pearl" in greek)

"Kristen and joey" Posted by jared23 22 December at 20:38
My nami is Emily. I don't much care for my name either. If I had to repick a name I would choose Kristen or (believe it or not) Joey. I love both mames, but I especially like Joey. It could be a nickname to Josaphine or Joanna or Joanne.

"Hey megan" Posted by genna11 18 July at 02:50
Heya, I don't think Megan is such a bad name! I actually think it's pretty. The popular name in Australia at the moment would have to be Meygan (pronounced May-gen) which is a bit different. My parent's named me MAGENTA (Mah-Jen-Ta), so I thought I'd suggest that to you! I was teased mercilessly in high school though! (I'm no 20) People thought they were so original and said to me "Have you seen 'my-genitals' today?" or called me 'Maggot'!! (No idea why!!) That's why my nickname is Gen or Genna!! It's a pretty form of Margaret though, if you haven't considered it already! Others (names that I have been personally called by mistake) are: Margaritte (old, but i like it), Majella, Magneta (with a hard 'g' like Mag-nita), Ma'genta (Ma-ghen-ta), Marjorie and the like. Hope I helped?? I do think Megan is pretty though! Its very feminine!

"Hi!" Posted by daisy260 26 April at 19:52
I know this isn't what you want to hear, but Megan's a lovely name! I hated Daisy when I was younger, but now I love it. What about taking your middle name instead?

"What a shame !" Posted by juliebrunel 14 February at 15:15
Megan is a gorgeous name. My daughter is simply called Meg, not christened Megan to later be called Meg. If you really want to change i think Margot is nice or just Meggy or Maggie. Have a really good think about changing your name before you go ahead with it. what do your parents think about you wanting to change the name they gave you ? Julie
