"Hippy names for boys !!!!!"
Posted by dizzel05 25 January  at  21:38

Hey.
was born and raised a hippy in the suburbs of leafy Collier Row deep in the heart of essex. I have 3 children , 2 of which are boys with the names Sancratard and Mobymoldyness.
I think these are perfect names for hippy people but only if they have long hair and play bongos to the tune of Heart shaped box by Nirvana! haha I can remember the day that little Mobymoldyness played that for the first time. one of the proudest moments of my life.

Just Remember hippieness comes naturally , kinda like butterflys and random insects . and trees and stuff . Jus go with it and lets the stars spell out the name for you! xxx

Much love River Plate

"Stupid names!"

What is wrong with normal names? River? Phoenix? Forrest? All these daft names...what on Earth is wrong with James or Daniel? What has your kid ever done to you to deserve this?!

My boyfriend is pretty much what you'd call a hippie and he named his son Sylas because it means from the forest or woods, it is commonly spelled Silas.
"Names - a bit late?"

Hi Hazel

Am probably far too late (is baby here??), but how about a celtic name:

Brennig (Welsh lake - can be shortened to 'Ren')
Caleb (Welsh meaning 'faithful, loyal'
Red(mond)

My family is basically made up of hippies but i decided not to be one of them.

Though,I have a few boy siblings called

Rayne [ pronounce rain]
Channing
Landon
Berett [ pronounced Ber-ett]

"Nature names for boys "

I have no children at this time, but I have always known that when the time comes I will choose a nature name. A name should reflect the child's character, and what better to take note from than this beautiful planet we call home. Some suggestions for a boy are:
Cypress, Banyan, and Storm. Those seem to be grounded and strong.

I like:
Ash or Asher
Aspen
Jude
Adder
Barley ( might be better for a girl!)
