"Names for my twin girls"
Posted by x2babies 13 March  at  06:36

Hello everyone, I'm 4 months pregnant [for the first time] with twin girls.

I would lime some name suggestions.

I would like to consider names that are simular
(start with the same letter, perhaps).

As identical twins run in my husbands side of the family, and my side as well. I think twins should have names that sort of match, especially if they are to be identical.

Please take the time to reply, Thank you.

Hey,
Super super exciting! Twins are great! Recently I gave birth to my twin boys, Shasta William Josiah and Corin Luke Rio.
So, I was thinking about what you said about wanting them to sound kinda similar, and then somebody else brought up that it can sometimes be a pain to have a twin or sister with a very similar name to yourself. Anyways, as I was thinking about that it reminded me of a couple of twins that I know, named Erin and Marin. Marin isn't m-erin, but muh-rin. It's cool because the names are similar but different, and they're similar without their initials being the same.
GOOD LUCK!

maybe you should think more about how having similar names will affect the girls, coz im a twin and me and my sister had for awhile similar sounding names, it was cute in the bigining but then evenually people just merged our name together and from then on we were known as only that name. we found it hard to make friends coz they couldnt be bothered trying to tell us apart and so my sister did the greatest thing she could do, she changed her name. so thats just one more thing u should consider.

Congratulations!

I can totally see where your are coming from with similar names. But i would consider similar names starting with different letters. There are 3yrs between myself and my sister and both our names start with 'K'. I know its a long way off yet and not something youll think about, but having the same initial is awkward when you get older, both still live at home with parents n have post being deliverd to 'Miss K Smith' Few places send you mail using a middle initial and we are forever opening each others mail. Its a bit annoying at times, especially if its personal/private mail.

It also causes problems with phone calls. If we get a call asking for miss K smith and ask which miss K smith it is they want, theyre usually dumbstruck and dont know becuase they dont have any further details of the name. It just means the person calling has to say what its about before we can work out who its for. Again if its something personal or private it can get a bit awkward.

Just someting you might like to thik about. I know its nothin major but i know if my mam could choose our names again she wouldnt have the same letters.

Somethign like:
Emily and Amy
Carly and Katie (C and K names would be good as obviously they would sound the same but could easily be identified for each daughters mail and phone calls)

Hope this helps! Good luck
