Hi my name is Riley and I am due to have a baby girl in September. I found out I was pregnant two weeks after my husband passed away and I knew I wanted to honor him with our childs name. I knew right away if it was a boy he would be Adam William II so of course I am having a girl. I am having trouble coming up with a name becuase I can not find any girls names that are anywhere close to Adam or William so I started thinking of names like Faith and Grace. Does anyone have any suggestions on names for my little girl

What about Adamina which is the feminine form of Adam. She could then be Addy or Mina for short which I think are lovely. I'm due a baby girl at the end of August and am thinking about calling her Abigail which means fathers joy. Good luck! Let us know what you decide! Liz x

Sorry to hear about your husband these last months must have been an emotional roller coaster for you.

Representing your husbands name in her name is a neat idea. My fathers name is William and my parents had toyed with the idea of calling me Billy in honour of him. Billy Adison sounds kind of neat. Amanda is also kind of close to Adam. Willimina, Adamina.

I also like the idea below about the name that means Daddy's little girl, kinda sweet and a nice way to do it if you dont like names that are exactly like adam or william.

I quite like... similar to Emma... but Amma which is very unusual and quite close to Adam or for the William how about Willow?...Think that's lovely!

i found the name adanna in a baby book and it means fathers daughter but i cant seem to find that name anywhere else!! so i dunno .. BUT Addison means adams daughter!i think that is perfect!if you want to check out the website it is babynames.com.good luck! love danielle

Ive been having trouble naming my girl and someone suggested zoe which means life in greek. Thought it might be nice coz part of your husband will live on in your beautiful wee girl.
