Help! i cant choose a baby boy name

I LOVE the name Daunte (dawn-tay)
but everyone says they hate how it's spelt
and it should be spelt "Dante"
I like the way my name is spelt better though...
Do you think it would be hard for people to pronounce the name the way i'm spelling it? It cant be that hard.....

It has strength..but NO, I love your choice and love the spelling!
Your the Mom.....he is your little man!
Trust your decision, your the one that will show this child the world, you will be the one that molds how he sees this world..that effects how he feels about this world right!
So little love trust your self.....be watchful of what he hears, sees, all things and people around him. your his protector in this world.

my boyfriends mum has got five kids and she has named her son (he's now 14) reece but she spells it ryice. he does get called rice somtimes lol but he just takes it on the chin.

just to be different, the name remains exactly the same but it makes people look stupid

I prefer the spelling Dante. I see more potential for Daunte to be mispronounced. Good luck.

an intelligent-sounding and beautiful name. My neighbour has a little boy (also mixed race)called Dante - pronounced Dan-Tay. He gets called Dan a lot. Best to stick to your own spelling if you don't like abbreviations (and of course to get pronunciation right!)
