Just wondering what people think of this name. I love it, but wonder if it's now too associated with recent events in Portugal.

Is it still beautiful name?, or just a word that makes you think you of that poor little girl?

Cheers x

It is a Lovely name and the events in Portugal are unfortunate and horrid but look at it this way you like the name? you feel bad about what hapened? you could call your daughter it and also use it was a small personal tribute to Madeleine M. Just a thought

I wouldn't call my daughter that now, because of the whole Maddie McCann thing and because it is becoming over-popular!

i love this name and when i tell people they always bring up madeleine mckann and yes it does have that effect but its also a very popular name so i don't think there is any reason why you shouldn't go ahead with madeliene! fab name!

...it's sad but the Madeleine McCann case won't last forever - just in the news ATM. I think it's a beautiful name and if you like it go with it!
