I know a little boy named cohen!
Hello, dear. My name is Jane and I am currently pregnant with my third child, a boy. My older children are Alfie Theodore (6) and Stella Josephine (2 1/2). I just came across your post, and I too really enjoy naming. I actually know a young fella named Cohen, and his brother is Vaughan. Darling little boys!
Finley I prefer spelled this way, and Spencer is the name of my female cousin. I really like Cohen, but it depends on your sister's last name. Cohen Anthony would be cute, or Cohen James? I don't know...

when i was pregnant last year i was sure i was having a boy and wanted cohen i was in love with the name and as i have toby and lydia i really wanted cohen so their initials spelt tlc lol but out popped a girl (soooooo shocked) so we named her cienna but id do as one poster said and save it for ur first baby x

Cohen
My eldest son is 5 and he is called Cohen. Whenever we meet someone new they alway comment on my childrens unusual names, but in a nice way. I lot of people say how lovely their names are and wish they had heard of them when naming their children (my other son is called Neo)
I'm expecting my 3rd child shortly and although i do not know the sex i am struggling with a boys name, so as us like unsual names i would be grateful of some suggestions.

Boys name suggestion
We named our son Adao "uh-day-o". We love it and there is no other person out there with this name. The spelling, with a squiggly over the o is portuguese for Adam, which means man of the red earth. In portuguese the pronounciation would be Adam (with diffierent stress than the English Adam) - and not how we say our son's name. I do like the meaning though, our son has red hair!

Hi everyone...
Just to let you know Marelise, you are not the only one. I love the name Cohen. They always say that you need to name your first born; if its a boy; after your husband's dad (Father in Law). My boyfriend is one of 4 sons, he is the youngest though, and 2 of his brothers already had boys which are named after granddad. Granddad's name is "Coert" and off course my boyfriend is also "Coert"....so you can imagine what Christmas is like with the 'in-laws' when "Father Christmas" is handing out gifts? hehe!
I'm not too keen on family names, but it's always nice to have a connection somewhere? So I thought, father in law's name is "Coert" (which currently, half of his family is named after) and my dad's name is "Hendrik" - so Cohen is a combination of the two grandfather's names? "Co"- from Coert, and "hen"- from Hendrik = Cohen!
What do you think?

Hello, my youngest son is named Cohen and I love it!
Some people spell it different they spell it as Koen, it is a boys name and means Preist, commonally used as a jewish surname. I have never heard of anyone else having it as a first name and like the fact that it is different, so your not alone!! hope this helps Donna

My son's name is also Cohen. And like that I just loved the name and thought it was great to have something different. Everytime I tell people his name they are wowed. It's nice to know that somone else liked it as much as myself!

I thought i was the only one!
My son was born in February 2005. My husband and I had the worst time agreeing on a name for him and debated the issues for months before he was born.
My grandfather's first name was Cohen (born around 1910 or so), and we decided to name our son after him. It was original, yet still a family name.
Apparently it's growing in popularity. I had no idea!
I think it's a wonderful name. Your sister should go for it!

I love the name Cohen for a boy, my friends aunt and uncle named their boy Cohen, and I think next year when I'm in grade 9 an di get the "Reality Works baby" I'm going to either name it Cohen or Kahlan

I name my son cohen
My husband and I were looking for something different in a name and wanted it to have a musical connection (my husband is a musician) so we decided on Cohen after Leonard Cohen. I LOVE his name, it suits him so...and it's definitely original! Our Cohen is now 2 1/2 and I can't imagine calling him anything else! Why not save the name for yourself to use in the future!
