We can't agree!!

Hi ladies,

Me and my OH just can't agree on a name for our little boy. I am 30 weeks this weekend and i know we've got plenty of time but i have my heart set on a name and he doesn't like it. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....... MEN!!

I want to call him Jayden Matthew John Steeper.

He doesn't like the name Jayden. His name is Matthew so he agrees with the second name and my grandad was called John so thats a family tradition. And he's taking his surname cos were not married!

He has sed he'll just learn to live with it but now i feel awful.. What do i do?? Will he learn to like it? Is he bin selfish or am i?

Hey

I think thats a nice name! You could change it to Kayden?!

Good luck in deciding

Natalie and Logan (5 months)

Hi

Would he like it more if you agreed on a nickname or to shorten it. So his name would be Jayden but you would all called him Jay. Does he have an alternative?
In my experience once he has seen you give birth in the few moments after he will agree to just about anything lol

Best of Luck x

Love it!

Keep Jayden. Ur carrying him around for nearly 10 months so u stick with that name. Its not like its a silly horrible name, i like it. He's probably just being stubborn. Deep down he likes it!! If he hated it that much i think he would say. Im having probs too. Im 41 weeks and we still havent agreed on a name. Freddy is a possibility, but then weve got the middle name to think of. Men r rubbish at things like this, so sometimes u just gotta take it into ur own hands!

G'luck,

Becky and overdue boy bump x x

Awww

Hey

Well i think Jayden is a lovely name, i actually have that in my list of names lol.

I think you should pick a name each and then when he arrives, ask the MW whether he looks more like one or the other. It works, as certain names suit different faces. Its fair and then that way you can tell your OH that he definatly looks like a Jayden, and then get your mum and friends to agree too!! lol xx

Nor can we!

You are not alone. I dread to think what we will end up calling our baby. Every name I pick my OH don't like. He want's to call it Portia but spelt like the car which I can't even spell if its a girl!! I said no way and no one in the family likes it. He's car mad you see and if he could get away with naming our baby Volkswagon Golf VR6 (or GTI) he would! help! I like nice normal names like Matthew for a boy!
Sarah and 18 wk peanut!
