Hello I am about to be pregnant ith my first little boy. I was thinking of the name William becasue I have loved it since I was younger. I am also thinking about James, Peter, Harry, Micheal of Charles. Is this idea to old fashioned or is it up with the times?

Thankyou!

I think you should go for a name that is more up-to-date like Jack or Ryan, but that is just my feelings, you should follow your heart.

good luck!

hey gurl those names are okay! but you need something more with a spice to it! you need to pick something more up to date!!!!!!!!! remember it's not the 70's anymore! but if you like those names that you picked out for YOUR baby then go with what you feel!!!!! Whatever's best for you!!! whichever name satisfy's you the most!!!!

No, i really don't think its old fasioned to go for traditional names at all.
Infact i've been considering Matthew, Samuel or James myself.
I like your names, plus, you shouldn't be worrying what other people think of them anyway.

I personally think William is extremely outdated and cringe everytime I hear someone young desiring to use it for their new baby. And I beg you PLEASE don't name your son Harry!!!! Can you imagine the teasing?! I know someone named Harry that absolutely hates his name so I'm begging you not to choose it.

Michael and James are beautiful, timeless names, that I love and since you like William, why not Liam? It's much more contemporary and unique.

Charles reminds me of Prince Charles-no.

And Peter is just to overused. And reminds me of an old man.

Hi, just to let you know that i'm pregnant with a boy, i will be calling him james (my maidan name) David (my dads name) william (my favorite name so he will have one first name and two middle names. I've just found out that it is an american traditon to use the first and last name of your father for your first born son. Coincidence!!! I think william is a fantastic traditional name, it's pure.

I have always liked the name and i am definately going to use it!! i hope you do too.

I think the older names are very strong. We just named our son Paul Caleb. William, Charles, and James are great names, as long as you don't mind the nicknames that usually come with them.
