"Wdyt of nicodemus?"
Posted by kamix5 30 July  at  05:48

I am having a baby boy in several months. I have 2 boys with very common names (Jacob & Kyle). I want to go for something fairly unusual this time. My husband and I both like the name Nicodemus. We would use Nico or Nic as a nickname. What do you think of these names ?
Thanks!

"How about nico?"

I really like it, but it seems a little too unusual. How about just Nico, if that's what you're going to call him anyway? It's not so archaic, but still different and along the same lines of what you're thinking of.

It certainly does have an archaic quality to it. A bit like Nostradamus.
I can't help but picture an "old stick" in a laboratory with glasses hanging on the tip of the nose. Not very glamourous.

If you like Nico, why not Nicolaï ?

But if you just like unusual then Nicodemus is the perfect choice.
