Using an older child's middle name for a new baby's first name.....?

Hi,

I am pregnant with my fourth girl and am struggling to come up with a name. There are lots of names I like but none that I LOVE except the middle name of my third daughter. She doesn't go by that name but I'm not sure if I should use it? If I do, I feel like I am using it twice...if I don't, I'll have to settle for a name that I'm not in love with.

Does anyone else have a child with the first name "pinched" from an older child's middle name? What do you think? Is it okay to do that or a no no?

Thanks for any advice

Thats ok

I dont think that much emphisis is put on middle names anymore, they are not used much except on official things.

I think it would be fine to use one of your child's middle names.

Can i ask what the name is??? x

Love Laura + 5 week Van Bean. x x

It is.....

My daughter's middle name is Rose and I would like to call my new baby Rosa...slightly different. I wanted a pretty name that isn't in the top 100 names (and it is around 600) but that isn't too different to risk it being silly....

I was just worried that people would say it was too similar to my other daughter's middle name... but I feel better now. Thank you!

I would use it

rosa and rose are too different names. i like them both. i might have to do the same. i cant think of a girls name for baby number 5. i have 3 boys and a girl. i have a boys name that i love but it is already been used this year. i have no idea for a girl.xx

It does get harder when you have more children!

There may be millions of names but very few that I like enough to give a child for the rest of her life! Having had 3 girls already I have already chosen 6 names...3 first names and 3 middle names and it does get harder to find that name where you think "YES! I LOVE IT!"

This is my girl's list ...;

Olive
Lilah
Mia....called Mimi when little....
Estelle
Roxanne...Roxy
Marissa
Alwena
Luna

and although I like them all, l really want Rosa. Good luck in finding your girl's name! And you should also just use the boys name you love too if you get a little boy....

Thank you! XX
