"When will he sleep through the night?"

Hi,
My son is now nearly 7wks old and i know its still early days but was wondering what sort of age babies start sleeping through the night. When he first come home from hospital he was getting up once approx 4am, but now there does not appear to be a pattern like before, sometimes he wakes at 2-3 and other times 5-6. Sometimes he has even woke twice for a feed
approx 1 & 5. We usually give him his last feed between 10 & 11 then put him down, he was having 5fl oz & 5 scoops of SMA but was finishing the bottle and looking for more so he is now having 6 fluid oz and 6 scoops of SMA and usually 6 bottles a day.
I know all babies are different and as i said before its still very early days.
Would love to hear you stories.

Thanks you x

hi there, theres also another thing you could try. you should try a swaddling blanket which you can get from mothercare. i had the same problem as you. then i invested in a swaddling blanket when my son was 8 weeks old. he slept from 11pm untill 9.30 and has been doing that ever since. now hes grown out of it i havnt been using it for the last two days and he still sleeps throughout the nite. i hope this tip is useful to you.

First congrats on the birth of your baby son!

When i had my daughter she was like that too, i spoke to my health visitor and she suggested i try and change the milk, hes maybe not getting enough out of the sma as its quite light. you should speak to your health visitor and see what she suggests.

As to him not sleeping through the nite that may be the problem. It made a big difference to when my daughter slept at night.

Hope this is some help to you and good luck!

take care x
