Hi Mums and Mums-to-be!

I have just turned 21 this year and lots of people I know seem to be having babies or are preggers! It's got me thinking that I want one! I am in a long term relationship and have bought a house of our own together with 1 bedroom. My partner thinks we are too young!

Am I too young? Should I wait about 10 yrs to get a bigger house, travel the world and progress in my job?

I think really i know I am too young at present but I just want others opinion/confirmation!

Thanks

Polly Pumpkin

I am currently 13 weeks 1 day into my first pregnancy. I am 21 and 6 months. I wont say there was a right time but just when your body and mind feels ready to get pregnant it will. I got married at 20 and 9 months and no-one said that we were too young but a few folk have said we are too young to have a baby, whats the difference?
Just when you feel ready you try.

Hi

I was 21 (just) when I had my 1st baby (a boy), then when I was 22 I had my second baby (another boy), then when I was 24 I had my 3rd baby (another boy), then at 26 I had my 4th baby (yes you guessed right, another boy). I have always wanted 4 kids and at the time I had my eldest (he is nearly 7 now) myself and my husband had not long bought our own house and we just felt ready to have a baby together (he was 27). I absolutely adore being a mum to my gorgeous boys and I am so glad I didnt have them any older, yet I am glad I didnt have them earlier than 21. So its just what feels right for you. You might say we can wait until we have bigger house (we only have a 3 bedroom house with 6 of us)!, more money etc but you will be waiting forever if you go down that route. If I had the choice to have a fantastic job, masive house, loads of money etc or having my kids I know what I would chose hands down.

All the best

Sarah

We are trying for our 5th baby at min (trying for football team)!!

Im 22 and have a 3 1/2 month old son and its the best thing i have ever done. I have been married for just over one year and could not wait to have a baby. I think its up to the individual on what age to start a family, you and your partner need to decide and dont let anyone tell you what to do.
If you feel you are ready then go for it!

All the best

Hi

I had my son 2 months ago and I'm 21.

It depends how a couple feels as to when they have a baby, u'l know when your ready but nothing can prepare you for a baby. They are very hard work and completely change your life but worth every bit
