my little girl amelia is 7 months nothinsleeps through the night laughs smiles hardly cries really good all together hut am having one problem and that is her weight she is on special milk with loads of callories and she is beening weaned but she is not gaining weight quick enough she is 12lb10 she doesnt sit up unaided and i think thats down to her weight i have the worse help visitor is anyone in the same situation or am i alone.....

hi i have a daughter who was 7 weeks early wieght 2 lbs 10 oz she is now 18 ibs 10oz she is also 7 months but all babies are diffrent my daughter is great sounds like ur daughter she cant sit unaided yet but rememember what u were told i was told this everything development wise is taken from your due date i strongly believe this is true my daugther want allowed solids untill a week ago as she put so much wieght on my friend has a early baby as well he hasnt put muh wieght on n my friend whos baby was full term is the same so dont worry

If you think about it this way... as Amelia was born early she may have needed an extra 7wks to fully grow? That would maybe leave her to be at the 5months stage.. My son is 5.5 months and doesnt sit up unaided yet, he just wobbles over. He is underweight for his age after having 2 sickness bugs since birth. My friends baby is a week younger than mine and hers weighs more and looks a fuller figure..

Were you and your partner small babies?

I know your situation is different to mine as your little girl was premature. I know its hard but I know from one mother to another you are doing your very best! timelines for babies are guidelines also each baby is different..
