Help with weaning - fussy eater

Hi,
My son is nearly 7months, i started weaning him at 5months because he has always been a very hungry baby. He loves anything fruity and also likes porridge, farley, egg custard & rice pudding but turns his nose up at anything with meat or veg in it. He heaves on it and usually makes himself sick. I have tried loads of different brands, flavours, textures etc and even tried homemade but he hates it all. Can anyone give me any advice, im trying my hardest to give him a balanced diet but not getting on very well.

Thanks all

Fussy eater 2

Just thought I'd add that you're not alone. I have a 7 month old daughter behaving fairly similarly. It's very frustrating to deal with. I have worked out a few tricks though, like banana and avocado mahed into plain yogurt - she wont eat avocado on it's own but this is fine. Next attempt I'm going to add a tiny bit of broccoli to it! Also for breakfast I added scramble eggs to her usual cereal and fruit. Once again egg on it's own is a no go, but this worked. I've come to the conclusion that I'm doing everything the experts advise and this is the only thing that's working so far. Not sure how to sneak in meat yet tho!!

Little eaters!!!!

Hi,

My son was also a hungry baby but certain foods he would gag. I was worried he was not getting enough of certain foods and would panic when he didnt eat meat, veg etc. He is now 18mths and my advice is, dont worry if he doesnt eat the foods you want him to eat as long as he is eating regardless to what it is and also taking his fluids he will be fine. Dont rush him into eating just re introduce at a diffrent stage, you will find that one day he will try new things and other days all they want is a yogurt lol. Just be happy to know he is happy when eating things he likes and make tea time fun.

Good Luck
