as soon as you put him in his basket he would start to cry! Spent the first three weeks of his life asleep on me! The only thing i can recommend which worked for me anyway is to get her used to her basket by putting her in it during the day when she sleeps. Try putting her down in the basket not when she is asleep but when she is falling asleep so she falls asleep on her own. Try swaddling her ( dunno if that is the right term..)..wrap her in a blanket and she will feel like she is being cuddled!
My friend also had this problem and used a colour changing light that her little one liked to look at!
hope this helps and i am sure she will settle down eventually! take care Haylez and 6wk 4day old Finlay x

I had my daughter Ellie 10 weeks ago, and we had the same problem. Have you tried a swaddle cloth? That worked for Ellie for a bit, and then we got her a "grow bag" and put her into a crib and touch wood she has been brilliant!!!! We can put her down awake now and she will fall asleep on her own.The grow bag has been the best thing ever as she stays warm and feels quite safe in it. Hope this helps
