| Thread started by: | "18 month growth spurt?" Posted by glendale1 9 December at 14:45
My youngest has been hyper for the past couple of days, his brother was never like this!
Just where do they get the energy from? He woke this morning at 6 - was immediately running around the house, jumping off the furniture etc. I left him with my sister while I was in the gym, he completely wore her out. At least she said he was well-behaved, even if he did eat her out of house and home! Since we got home he has eaten a huge amount of food -an adult portion of pasta, fruit salad, fromage frais and then my chocolate cake, AND he ate toast, and a banana with my sister, not to mention breakfast...
Going to play football in the park now, he's not even sleepy, nowhere near ready for a nap.
Is this normal? his borhter wasn't the same, but I'v heard that toddlers can sometimes have growth spurts.
take care everyonexx

My daughter is exactly the same at the moment, climbing all over the furniture, tearing around not wanting to play with toys, just running everywhere! She never seems to want to sleep, is eating like crazy - in fact so much so my father in law has expressed concern about how much she can put away in a sitting! She seems to be eating almost constantly, but I make sure it's fruit or carrot etc to keep it healthy. My health visitor told me not to worry, it's just a phase she will pass through soon enough, so you're not alone, I have an amazing eating child as well!
