daily routines for 4/5 month old...can anyone help?

Hi all, having one of my too tired can't see wood for trees moment! At this stage do any of you have nap routines? Sam is now purely bottle fed and generally eats at 7,10,1,4 and 7. But his naps change daily and last night he didn't sleep thru for first time in ages and obviously i'm keen to get back to that, being up between 4 and 5 and then getting up at 6 was cack!
It may have been the heat but also he slept loads yesterday and generally we let him nap for as long as he needs but no longer than 3 hours. He normally naps for between 20 mins and an hour every couple of hours but then at teatime he'll go into a deeper sleep and need waking and is then grumpy. He used to go to bed at 8 so he now goes straight after 7pm feed. I know babies will nap when they're ready but is there anyway I can structure it a bit more so that he doesn't want long nap at the end of the day cos then he has last bottle when he wakes up and is then not ready for bed for another hour and half to hours...what do you all do? I'm sure the solution is obvious but my brain is mashed potato!

Hope you and all babs are ok in the heat. Sam is in bed with a sleepsuit and no covers, it's 25 deg in out bedroom! Sorry if this message is garbled, hope it makes a bit of sense!

Well...

Nyla's feeds are roughly 8am,12pm,4pm,+8pm.

She has 8oz bottles but only 4 feeds so if any of the feeds are late obv the 8pm one gets put back to so that means a later bedtime.

We have no strict 'routine' but she has generally fallen into a pattern of a morning and then afternoon nap...with playtime etc inbetween feeds and naps.

She generally has a good few hrs in the afternoon say 1.30-4.00. If she is still asleep by 4pm i have to wake her otherwise as i said her 8pm feed will be late(as she always goes 4hrs inbetween feeds)

At the min we have no way of getting her bedtime earlier as if i feed her at 7am,11am,3pm+7pm its more difficult for me as the twins go nursery in the mornings and the 11am mucks up the only couple of hrs i off to get things done!

It will be all change when we start of solids and the kids go full time school in sep-i'm confident they will all be up by 7pm then, but for now i'm happy the way things are.

A lot of babies who go to bed at 6-7pm(friends babies) are up at 5.30-6am...and Nyla does not wake til 7.30am.

I just let George do what he wants... i have now changed his feeding times so i start at 8am then every 4 hours .. his last feed is a dream feed at midnight which in the next few months i will be dropping when he is weaned...
Once he is on solids then i will change his feeding structure again cos he goes to bed between 9-9.30pm so i can feed and change him before..
george normally sleeps through the night and wakes about 7am but lately he has been waking at 3am or 5am cos he either poo's and doest like laying in it or he starts rolling over in his sleep and gets his legs caught through the bars!.. I then bring him into bed with us but only from 5.30am onwards, never before that... but he likes to have a cuddle with us then sleeps till 7.30am..

I tend to find its all trial and error...
