Milk

My daughter is 18 months old and has 9oz bottle in the morning and 9oz before bed.

I want to stop giving her milk in a bottle. I tried to give her her milk this morning in a cup and she refused.

But when should she stop having milk as a regular morning and evening drink?

I tend to give her her milk and then take her to nursery, where she has her breakfast. I don't like the idea of her waiting until her breakfast at 8.00am before having anything to eat or drink. Also, she is showing signs of being ready for potty training and giving her a great load of milk just before she goes to bed will be counter productive.

She has plenty of calcium rich food during the day (milk on cereal, yoghurts, cheese) and I plan to give her milk as a drink.....

What are your experiences?

Hi there,
Well my experience was a little different as little one didn't want hardly any milk once I introduced solids.
She always hada night bottle b4 bed but didn't always have it all. Once she got 2 18 month or so she wouldn't hav a morning bottle so I just made up her brekkie with the milk so I knew she was still gettin it.
Have u tryed the tippee cups or the soft teat like beakers if u want 2 stop the bottles? If shes happy having the milk then I would try n still give it her but maybe keep trying with the beakers instead of bottles?
Its a hard decision I know. Good luck hun.
