Weight issues...

Hiya girls

im getting so depressed i feel so huge. im used to being a size 10/12 and now im a 16/18!
Oh is so unsympathetic he doesnt understand, ive ended up in tears expalining how down i feel and he just doesnt get it! ive signed up to the gym, and we had an arguement about that cz he doesnt want me to go, he said its a waste of money. I also bought a toning belt and he wasnt happy about that either, saying if ive got money for that i can pay for more important thing etc. im getting so stressed out im depressed enough about feeling big, and it doesnt help that he talks to me like crap sometimes. i just feel really unloved at time, like im just "mummy" im not anything special to him anymore. iv also been getting paranoid that hes going to wonder off as i dont feel that he finds me attractive anymore. he doesnt make any effort to randomly kiss me and hug me and compliment me like he used to! if i didnt make a move on him im sure there would barely be any physical contact between us.
im scared of where this relationship is gonna go if he keeps on like this. any advice?? its a bit hard to fully explain everything or id be typing all night and dont really feel like it! i havent even eaten all day, and i dont seem to feel hungry either. i dont feel like doing anything right now tbh.... but just need some advice ???

(did any of that even make sence?!)

Oh

hunny, i know exactly where you are coming from!! men just dont get it do they? i had slimmed down to a size 10/12 before i had ben but when i got pregnant i took it as a license to eat and put on 4 1/2 stone i was mad depressed especially as it ddnt just 'drop' off like the celebs seems to! instead, i have been going to weight watchers which is how i lost the weight the first time round, and although it has taken me a year i am now back to me pre pregnancy weight, although my body has changed so much i am just a 12, definatly no 10's!! i feel loads happier and oh had a chat with me and said that he wasnt not kissing me because i was bigger but because i was a bit of a mare and he didnt dare!! now i grt kisses all the time cos i feel so much better i am nicer to be around, and i believe him cos my mum agreeed with him!! try wegiht watchers xx

Hi hon

total sense! I feel the same, Sam is now 20 weeks and altho the weight is slowly going i still feel massive. My oh tells me not to worry i just had a baby but i don't think they realise how it effects our self esteem, we need to feel good about ourselves. Having a baby does change things, maybe if you're not feeling great about yourself he senses this (but doesnt realise it as we all know men are a bit thick!) so that is why he's not showing much affection. I also think men really don't notice the extra lumps and bumps as much as we do... as long as there's still the usual lady bumps at the front don't think they care!

How old is baby now? Give yourself time, can you get out for walks, I try and do that everyday as it's hard to do anything else with a baby. I'm not eating much cos it's hot but you must try and eat something, baby needs you to look after yourself x x x

Hey in same boat here....

My OH is the same, talks to me like crap and isnt supportive what so ever. I have no motivation to do anything although i am very very unhappy with the way i look atm too. I think i put on 2 stone with Olivia, ive gone from a 12 to a 14/16.
HAte looking in the mirror, so i dont bother if i dont have too.
My OH says i can join the gym so im gna, but he is just not supportive at all, he will just tell me to go and do something about it and stop moaning, to him he says i dont need to change, but its obvious to me i do.
Anyway just thought id let u know your not alone and im here to chat. Ive got a diet from a doctor if u would like it, if you stick to it, you lose 7-10lbs a week!!! Its for people who are having heart surgery n need to lose weight, but he says its a fab thing, and you only need to stick to it for 3 days a week, then stick to a certain amount of calories the rest, then go back to it for 3 days n so on.
PM me if u like hun.
Be strong and u r beautiful!

Having a baby does change your relationship...

Me and my OH dont have much romance anymore.. its not lack of wanting to just that we now go to bed at different times.. and things between us have been more strained.. i think there is also a little bit of jelousy in men when the babies arrive as they dont get all the attention anymore!

As for your weight...in time you will get back to a size you are happy with.. I now walk everywhere and swim which helps although i was lucky that i didnt put on much weight with George.. i now just got extra wobbly bits!

Have you tried Weight Watchers? My sister goes there and has done really well..

Your OH is rather insensitive if he cannot understand how you are feeling.. keep drumming it into him..
