Swine flu

my mum told me tonight they have 3 confirmed cases at the school where she teaches and am trying to decide now whether there's anything to be gained by keeping away or whether we're all going to come into contact with the virus at some point anyway so no point in keeping Kaitlyn away from her nan and vice versa. Has anyone else had a family member in contact with it and have you taken any special precautions or do we just carry on as normal?

Symptoms 2 look 4...

Hey there,
theres a case at my kids nursery 2! Health protection unit have said they are mild cases in r area and most people will recover within a few days.
Symptoms they say 2 look out for are..

# fever of 38 oc and TWO of the following...

# headache,
# respiratory symptoms such as cough, runny nose,
# muscle aches/ pains,
# sickness/ diarrhoea

Just wrote this from the letter we had from the nursery. Hope it mite help. They say they do not offer the anti- viral medicine as it aint a vaccine and doesn't give long term protection.

Hope we all escape it?!!! Especially with having newborns.
