Expressed milk - bottles freezable?

Hi
Can I freeze the bottles that I use for expressing my breast milk? Or do I need special freezable bags for the milk? I am using Tommee Tippee ones.

Thanks
Katy

thanks ladies.
in my instructions for the tommee tippee pump it says i can keep breast milk in the fridge for up to 24 hrs. but surely i can keep it there for longer? i have read somewhere that it is good in the fridge for a few days at least?

katy

I found that

... when I was B'feeding any milk kept after about 24 hours started to separate and get a "strange" smell to it! lol. (mine started to smell of HORLICKS of all things!)
I used to freeze any excess milk that wouldn't be used within a day, I did freeze in bottles but they were the Medela ones that come with the electric pump and it says you could on the box, lol.
I have read that Expressed milk can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days, but to be honest I always either used or froze it within this time!

not sure I have been any help there!! lol

not heard of being able to freeze bottles but I may be wrong. We used bags from Boots, when I was able to squeeze a bit of milk out that was, I was rubbish at expressing! x
