"Still have complications"
Posted by pain1yearlater 6 December  at  05:04

It has been over a year since I had my C-Section, and I have still been having problems...

Since I had my daughter, I have had nothing but problems with my scar...

Since the C-Section, I get these pains in my lower abdomen (where my scar is) and I never know when it is going to happen...It has been very random!

When I touch the scar, it is numb and has been since the surgery...

Every Dr. that I have gone to says that it is just my nerves growing back together, but all the research I have seen says that it only takes a couple weeks.

I have been to numerous Doctors and all of them say it is Endometriosis but I believe that it is nerve damage...

Has anyone been told they have nerve damage from a Dr.?

My pains are VERY severe, sometimes they are so bad that I go to the Emergency Room because I can't handle the pain! It feels like someone is stabbing me repeatedly with a hot knife (exactly where my scar is) and it hurts so bad that I double over in pain, and shake sometimes... My Blood Pressure gets up to the 150s or higher when I am in pain, and nothing helps but pain medication....

Please help, what do I do? Has anyone else experienced this kind of pain after having a C-Section?

It wasn't until my boy was 7months old when i started exercising again. I found from starting off at 10 sit-ups a day(along with 10 each of other positions), it took me a week after that 15 minute workout to recover from the pain. I've that if you want to get fit again you are going to have to deal with a lot of pain. Remember that they did cut alot of muscle. Alot of my friends who had c-sections are still dealing with some pain after like 5 years since having their child. Just keep trying abdominal excerises and hopefully the pain will eventually go.

HI ive just seen your message and my little girl is 5months old and she was born by C-SECTION and i still have problems, i actually thought id recoverd quite quickly as i was up and about after a week, but it wasnt until lately when i realised i hadnt ive been getting a lot of pain in my stomach and lower stomach area. My underwear hurts when it rubs against it, and even bending down has become a task lately, it doesnt seem to be improving either. So far ive tried to keep active but not over do it im also trying to keep fit and i expect with a little one yourself, he/she keeps you busy aswell.Ive also tried eating more healthy and drinking more water, and light exercise is soppuse to aid recovery, but to be honest i think it depends on you individually as some of my friends have had serious probs since C-SECTION some havent had any.At the moment im also having probs shifting my baby weight its been 5 months and my bellys gone down and is just flabby im still young aswel and it just looks like jelly and i dont think ive lost hardly any weight!! got any tips?? It would be helpful.

Thanks elle

My first child a boy was vaginal and I thought my second would be fast and easy and great. I was so excited to have my second one. The doctors told me this one will come faster. I will probably have the baby really fast. Little did I know at my visit two weeks before my delivery date, he was breeched. I needed a c-section and I cried and cried. I always had a fear over this and it's going to happen. I can't do anything about this. This is the safety of me and my child. When I got in the delivery room I had a severe panic attack and they gave me grate drugs. Then the doctor asked me how I feel. How I feel," like a wild dog is ripping out my insides. When the baby was out I felt them close me up. I couldn't move at all. So I kept on saying are you done yet, I can feel this. Then I guess I got knoced out, I remember waking up in the recovery room, and the pain was so bad. Vaginal is so much easier to me. You know you will be in pain until you delivery and then it will go away. It took me a week vaginal with my first to recover. It's been almost three months and my stomach kills- abs kill so bad. It feels like I did 100 sit-ups but done none. When I bend over my belly button hurts so bad. It feels like I am being stabbed. I was also up and around after a week, and all these pains came on. But is it normal for your navel to hurt and under you ribs-feeling muscels spasms and contracting, burning in scar area and pulling after two and a half months? Also when I put my underwaer on it also hurts my navel area.

Hi there

I am a mother of a 7 month old and unfortunatley I still suffer the same way, I got told to just do alot of walking as excercise to start with and the tummy excercises were more to strengthen the saggy belly, but nothing in particular for the ache that hits the scar area after prolonged activity. Sorry hope someone can help - but I did get told by the doctors that having a C section is harder to recover from than open heart surgery, as it is a part of the body that is used in every thing you do!! Hope you start to feel better soon.

Hi , i have had three c-sections recovery after the first 11 years ago was easy apart from the weight. Then my second was easy too but recovering from the third was terrible and still is after two years .Doctors will say that the back pain is down to weight was sent to physio after doing exercises she gave me for 3 days i then spent the next 3 not being able to move so in the process now of trying to lose weight in order to get my back seen to ..they also say the sag will never go . My sister has had three c-sections as well and 6 mnths after her last one is now experiencing the same sort of pain ....

I'm really shocked. I did not know it was like that for some. I're read all the postws on this and I think that the ones that speak of pain, burning sensation aorund the incision and navel most probably have some sort of infection.
I've had a c-section as well. I was up and about a few days after the surgery (of course I had pain and it was difficult), but I have absolutely no pain now, the incision is still numb though. I am doing exercises (though I do not think they are helping at all -whcih is very weird). Really, so sorry to hear all this. And here I thought that it was much much easier with C-section that natural for everyone. I sympathise.
