Trouble at meal times

Hi Ladies

Just wondered if anyone can give me any advice? Olivia's started really messing around at mealtimes. She's just turned 9 months and has been weaning since around 5 months. Normally the only time she messes around at meal times is when she's tired but the last few days shes been a nightmare!!

As soon as the spoon goes near her she starts flailing her arms around and shaking her head. Inevitably the spoon gets caught in the crossfire and she ends up covered from head to toe in orange food!!

I've tried giving her a spoon to hold while I'm feeding her but it doesnt seem to work and she doesnt seem to want to hold the spoon with the food, just catapult it around the room!

Anyone got any ideas on how to keep her happy while feeding her?

Shelley & (very dirty, orange) Olivia xx

stress!

Hey there,
I went through this with my 1st and we found it very stressful indeed!
A good little eater turned terror was horrible n it really got me down. She would scream, we would sccream, food everywhere, tryin 2 force feed! It all got very messy n out of hand.
In the end I just went with the flow. We gave her vitamin drops on advice of HV and she did grow out of it very soon. I think its sumthing they all go through 2 a degree.
Good luck.
Sorry no help!
