Check ups...

When do babies have there check ups?... i havent heard anything about booking them in to GP or anything?... im taking her to weighing nxt thursday and she will be 6 weeks then but just wondered if anyone else had to book in with HV, GP and at what age? I knw her first injections are at 8 weeks which im prosuming HV or doctor surgoery will contact me about?

Both you and your baby are suppose to have a 6 weeks Doctors appointment. My GP rang and told me this, and I got a letter and both the MW and HV told me!! Dont think I'll forget!!! lol

you should get a little reminder thing from the nhs about rosie's injections. when they have their first jabs (well, at least where i live, i assume its the same all over) the doctor gives them the once over then. they checked my kids' hips and other joints, weight, skin, abdomen, inside their mouths, their necks etc etc.

after that, i dont remember oliver having had any more check ups until the 8 month appointment with the HV, but that was more about developmental milestones than a physical check up. he has never had any more.
