Thought i would update everyone to what has happened over weekend.. as ive had so many messages asking what went off etc.
I went in Friday about 9.30pm to the hospital as baby had been quiet alday (not like her at all!). Baby was fine but my BP wasent. (159/110) I have had a really easy pregnancy this time around & my BP has been spot on unlike how it was with Olivia (i got pre eclampsia with Livvy). So they checked my urine which had 2+ protien (not had any protien in this pregnancy) & took my bloods & admitted me to the ward by 10pm.
They put a canula in my wrist, gave me some BP tablets & wanted to put a catheter in my bladder but i refused! They also limted the amount of fluid i could drink & had to write down how much i was drinking each hour but no more than 85mls. Then i had to wee in a pot so the MW could measure what was coming out. She said they did this cos when your BPs high your kidneys & liver wouldnt be able to cope with too much fluid.
She then started a 24hr urine collection at 4am.
I got my blood results around 12am & the uric acid was at a normal level so i didnt have PE.
Doctor wanted me in for 24hrs with 24hrs of good BP results.
Sunday morning & my BP had gone up again to 158/100 so i had to stay in. Had more bloods took. They then set me up with regular BP tablets which started to stabilise my BP.
Sunday night i asked to speak to my doctor & she agreed i could go home with BP tablets & to come back the next day to check they were working.
Went in Monday & my BP is staying just below 140/90 which is good. Baby seems happy too & back in Thurs for same checks.
Today i had my 38wk MW appt. My BPs staying the same, protien +1 but my fundal height hasent grown. Im still measuring 36wks so the MW was concerened. She thinks cos of this high BP that my placenta is stopping working & baby isnt getting everything it needs. So she rung for a second opinion & they want me back in tomorrow morning for more checks etc.
Its been a mad few days!! I feel like total dog poo with the tablets as they are making me very drowsy so im struggling to run around after Livvy. I cant go no where as i darent drive.
I suppose theres not long left now. Livvy came at 38wks just hope this baby decides to do the same!!
