Fed up (wind related)

Rosie has had infacol (worked for about 2 weeks)...Dentinox (worked for about 2 a week)...Gripe water (worked about 3 days) On Saturday she was quite bad because genrally she is a happy contentend baby but saturday screamed alot espically after a feed, was chewing her hands alot so put it down to teething but now im kind of bafald as i think it may be wind aswell because she been bad today and when she brings wind up she tends to stop crying but it takes for ever to bring it up? Can anyone suggest anything else i can do? i move her legs to her chest, put her over knee etc. Was thinking of taken her to the docs?

Awww, poor rosie

It's miserable for them. Like Nat mentioned, we tried colief, the GP gave it us on prescription as it is pricey. It is a bit of a faff, can't remember exactly what we did now, it's all hazy. I was still BF at the time but it's def easier with bottles. We used to lie Sam along an arm so that he got pressure on his tummy or laid him on his tummy on our lap whilst rubbing with a bit of pressure in sweeping motions up his back. We also used to sit him as straight ashe would go and even now when it's a bit stuck a walk up the stairs usually shifts it.

Hope you find something that works soon, do you have a nice GP or HV? Maybe they will have some ideas?

Good luck x x x

Hi!

Hi Lucy,

I just noticed your thread- I just posted something similar- took me all day to write it though as Calum kept me on my toes! Calum will be 3wks 2moz and he is suffering really bad already- last night I felt it bad- as he was screaming and there was no comforting him at all!! It is the hardest thing ever as I feel really bad that I can't help him and he seems in soo much pain with it.

I hope Rosie feels better soon and that you are able to get some sleep.

Take Care, Eileen and Calum

Hey

a lot of people have mentioned colief, apparently its quite complicated though which too much fussing but its worth a try. get it on prescription though as its nearly £12.

Gripe water still works for megan, and also got her some new bottles which i didnt think were doing much until i stopped using them

They are mam anti colic bottles, can get them from mothercare, they work wonders, some days it takes ages to bring her wind up but thts cos she holds on to it and then falls asleep.

Hope you find something that works for you.

Nat and Megan xx
