Me again --- when to wind baby

rite following my recent thread regarding wind etc... i have the dr.brown bottles, worked well at first but she seems to have got more girping wind today which is strange because i really noticed a difference when she first started using dr.brown bottles?

Anywho... When do u wind ur babies?... Inbetween the feed?...After? i only ask this because maybe im doing it wrong?... Rosie used to get bored of me stop feeding her, wind her, feed her etc etc so i googled it and it says not to stop feeding and just wind them at the end of a feed? HV also said this but maybe thats the problem?!

Also can you use dentinox and gripe water together? im not using both at the moment but my partner is convinced he read it somewhere that u can use both together?

Thnx for replies!

Well went to HV today, its a baby centre on the side of a school so receptionest let me in and took me to the room and said oh u'll have to weigh ur baby on ur own today cos the HV arnt here there all on annual leave! untill 2nd week in september WHAT!!!!... so i rushed around in morning to make 10am and no one was there a few other mums were turning up aswell... so i weighed rosie with her clothes on which is obviously not acurate plus im annoyed because i wanted to ask a few questions! also if there ALL on annual leave what about all the new babies being born over august surely they have to see them?

Rosie is much much happier today, bought all her wind up everytime ive winded her during feed and after...went out for dinner and a little window shopping today lol she loves her push chair so she was asleep most of the time and when she wakes up she is very nosey wondering what everyone else is doing.

Hope u ladies, bumps, babies, toddlers are all well xxxx

Wind

Hiya,

I wind Emily towards the end of the bottle otherwise if I take it away she cries. When she starts blowing bubbles then I know she has had enough

Don't know about the medication, we have been lucky with Emily as she has not suffered.

Good luck

Hey

Megan usually takes a break from feeding herself and thats when i wind her, but if she doesnt i just wait till the end as if you keep stopping air bubbles start happening and then it makes the wind first and you will just keep feeding on top of wind.

I am using gripe water and infacol together, so cant see why you cant use dentinox, try and google it or pop into a pharmacy, they will tell you

good luck

Hey hun,
Well I wind when baby stops feeding, normally after a few oz, n then at the end of the bottle.
She normally takes nite feed or 1st morning feed in one go but in the day she winds twice sumtimes. If I try 2 stop n wind she cries n then gets in a rite state!!!!
As 4 the 2 2getha I ain't a clue hun as I haven't any experience with either of these products. Soz ain't much help. I would c wot HV says at weigh in 2mo then. Hope u get her sorted soon mate. xx

Hi Mummy!

Yeah Rosie crys if i stop to wind her, i do now again if she pushes bottle out i will wind her between feeds but if she doesnt want to stop she will carry on... today ive stopped about 3 or 4 times between a feed to wind her because shes been screaming in pain whilst feeding...hmmm!! hopes HV's can help me tomorrow if not off to doctors we go

Crazy stuff not knowing whats up... lol i think from when i found out i was pregnant its been worry worry worry and i think this will probs last untill she is 18 years old! lol or even longer!

Hi!

I think you are right about the worrying, I worried when ttc, then when pregnant and I'm still loving a good and often irrational worry!

We wind Sam when he pushes bottle out, if he makes a big fuss we carry on but if he really has bad wind he doesn't seem to mind. Hope the HV helps today x x x
