Blood in urine

I noticed this evening that my 19 month old daughter had bits of blood in her urine when she used the potty. (She normally wears nappies during the day and I couldn't see a trace in those). She has no other symptoms of anything. She is sleeping, eating, doesn't have a temperature, has no apparent pain and no issues with going for a wee. She is entirely normal!

Have given her dilute cranberry juice this evening and intend to do so tomorrow to see if that flushes out the problem.

I can make an appointment for next week to see the doctor (nothing else available).....

Anyone elses baby had this problem?

Could she be dehydrated?

When Calum was born- I was having problems breastfeeding- I wasn't producing anything Calum was getting syringe fed formula to keep him going but then when I changed his nappy it looked like blood (kinda pinkish)- it wasn't blood there was a name for it which I now forget anyway it was due to him being dehydrated- so he got bottle fed after that and it went away quite quickly. Just a thought for you- but if I were you I'd get her to the docs just to be on the safe side!

Good Luck, Eileen and nearly 3wk old Calum

Ahhhh

what a great idea. Yes, that's probably true. We put her on the potty every night and we have never seen it before. When I think about what it looked like, it was more like sediment. Maybe I just panicked. She was at soft play yesterday afternoon and was running around like mad without having a drink so that's probably it.

We will drown her with cranberry juice to flush out any impurities today.

Thanks for your advice!
