Reaction to cinnamon...

Hi all, have just given Sam some puree apple and cinnamon which I made from a recipe in Annabel Karmel. Sam loved it but when I wiped his face and hands anywhere the food had been has gone red. I've just looked it up on the net and people can have reactions to it and it can even cause throat restrictions. I didn't know this and trusted the book, should have a warning really. He's not actually bothered at all and is currently rolling round the floor doing his usual thing!

Anyone else experienced this? Am gonna keep an eye on it and hope it calms soon. Just thought I'd post to let anyone else know that might be considering using cinnamon.

Oh poor sam

oh dear, we have the same book and I was going to pick a few receipes to cook up this week but I will avoid the cinnamon. Hope he is okay.

sorry to hear that poor sam has reacted to it! Its a difficult one as people can have severe allergic reactions to pretty much anything. the most common ones are eggs, strawberries, dairy, nuts, tomatoes.
It'd probably be worth avoiding any spices etc till Sams a bit bigger!
Its good that it hasnt bothered him tho, and how cute that he is rolling round lol.
