Pram issues

Hello, i'm expecting my second baby in 4 weeks and Frankie is 16months old, i have a travel system in loft which i used the car seat only and frame to push him in then i got a buggy at xmas and now i'm having to look for a third bloody contraption because Frankie is to young for the buggy boards. I don't really want to spend lots of dosh on another pram so can anyone suggest something that maybe quite reasonable. I was looking for a seat that may attach to my existing pram for frankie rather than a standing one but it doesn't seem to exist. I thought the buggies with one behind the other might be better as getting in and out of shops looks like it could be annoying with the ones next to each other, but once my second child is sitting up he won't want to be behind and low to the ground so i'd have to buy a fourth buggy, omg the confusion of it all, what have you guys done ?

Phil and teds

I know they are not cheap, but I think they are the best double buggies you can get. You can get them of ebay for a fraction of the price too, so it might be worth checking out. We've got the dash, which is a bit more comfy than the sport, and we really love it. Our older is really happy in it and our LO is very snug in the carrycot.
hope this helps,

apparently OBABY have brought out an indentical pram to the phil and teds but for a fraction of the price, i havent actually seen one yet though, i have been told its quite big but not sure if its bigger than the phil and teds or not though?

I have bought the maclaren side by side, i got it off ebay for £50, i didnt reallt want to spend a fortune as i think that Scarlett will want to be walking all the time soon, apparently it fits through normal door ways, although it doesnt fit through my front door!!!!

hey hun

nightmare isnt it. i have 13 months between my son (the eldest) and my daughter, so obviously, oliver wasn't old enough for a buggy board. and anyway, i dont see how they are much good if you are out for the whole day somewhere, surely little people need a rest with those little legs!

i bought a phil and ted sport. it wasnt cheap, but i love it. you can use it for just a newborn, just a toddler, toddler and newborn or 2 toddlers. i was a bit worried that once my daughter could sit up she wouldnt like being in the back seat lower to the ground - she is now 4 months old but is quite small for her age, so have only tried her in it a couple of times and she is perfectly happy. i know a couple of people that have the model before mine who have 2 toddlers and they all say the same thing about the back seat - the kids fight over who is going to sit in it - in a positive way that is! bit like the back seat on a bus when you go on a school trip

i couldnt be doing with a side by side, where i live that wouldnt be feasible as the pavements are so narrow in places, i would end up with one child in the road, and also shop doorways would be a bit of a nightmare. the P and T isnt perfect, but in my opinion, when it comes to double buggies they are the best of a bad bunch really.

it is also car seat adaptable with the maxi cosi cabriofix which i have, but i ahvent used it for that purpose. my daughter is happy in the lay flat bit and also likes being in the seat when i swap it to that mode, so i am quite happy doing that.

good luck!

i 'll check them out thanks for the suggestion x

Hi hun

haven't been in this situation yet, but the plan when we get the next one is to carry new baby in the sleepywrap and have Siri in her buggy.
means it's easy to cuddle baby while having hands free for the toddler lol

have you got a wrap or sling?

hugs
elizabeth & siri

Need one

Did have a cheap one from mothercare but i didn't like it very much, when he was very little he didn't look comfortable, i will try again tho coz i like the idea of them, i'll shop around for something else. I'll use that some time but not out all day, Frankie was a bit of a lump bless him would v'e been in bits if i had to carry him around all day.
Thanks for reply x

check out www.sleepywrap.com we totally love ours
and i carry siri around in it all the time
can easily carry her and as the weight is spread it's totally comfy too
siri is rather podgy too hehe, she's nearly 9kg now and i can barely tell i am carrying her when i wear her in the sling
